UPDATE: OSHP releases name of man killed in fatal accident

LAWRENCE TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WTAP) - Authorities have released the name of the man killed in an accident in Washington County Thursday evening.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol says Troy Moore, age 46, of Wingett Run, Ohio died in that crash.

The Highway Patrol says Moore was driving north on State Route 26 around 7:15 when he drove off the road and hit a tree and flipped his vehicle.

The accident happened near milepost 15 in Lawrence Township.
Moore was pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities says Moore was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident, but alcohol is suspected to be a factor in the crash.

The Washington County Sheriff’s Office and the Little Muskingum Fire Department also responded to the crash.

The crash remains under investigation by the Marietta Post of the OSHP.

The Washington County Sheriff's Office says one man has died after his car rolled over.

It happened on State Route 26 1,600 B at around 8:15 p.m. Officials say the man was pronounced dead on scene. He was the only one involved in the crash.

Authorities have not released his name, since they are still notifying family.
