Marietta Police trying to identify suspects in Walmart jewelry theft

MARIETTA, Ohio (WTAP) - Marietta Police are asking for the public's help to identify two men who were recently seen on surveillance cameras stealing jewelry from the Marietta Walmart.

Marietta Police say the theft happened at 3:30 a.m. on Tuesday, November 27, at Walmart on Pike Street, near I-77, in Marietta.

In surveillance video, one man was seen casing the store's jewelry area for a few minutes.

The man then used an unknown tool to pop open a jewelry case and stole an undisclosed amount of jewelry items.

He and another man then walked out of the store and left in a 4-door Honda Civic with white tape around the back passenger's-side window.
