PARKERSBURG, W.Va. (WTAP) - Nine years ago Friday, was the last time a Parkersburg woman was seen.
Kimberly Jones was last seen on February 2nd, 2009 leaving her Pinewood Village apartment, now known as Oakwood Village, in Parkersburg.
Her mother filed a missing person’s report the next day on February 3rd.
Luitenent Nangle of the Parkersburg Police Department says she was 25-years-old when she went missing, which makes her 34-years-old today.
He says they continue to investigate leads as they come in, but at this time there is no significant update on her case.
“Over the nine years there's been a substantial amount of investigating done. And as time goes on we will follow up with everything we get. Anniversaries spark information, especially from the family and friends of the person that is missing, because it is obviously someone near and dear to them. And so we'll get calls asking how things are going and then sometimes we'll get leads to follow up on as well."
Nangle says they need the public's help to find Kimberly Jones.
