NELSONVILLE, Ohio (WTAP) It's the 67th year for this celebration and it has a pretty cool name, it's called the Parade of the Hills.
The four day event doesn't consist of only parades.
There is a parade three out of the four days.
Wednesday the 17th is the Welcome Home Parade, Thursday is the Bicycle Parade and Saturday is the Grande Parade.
There are also many other activities that people can get involved with.
There's live entertainment each night, as well as fiddling and a pie contest and auction.
Most of the events are completely free.
One of the great things is the entertainment is all free. You can go downtown and see everybody and listen to live entertainment, on two different stages, for free. Library Junction is there for the kids with lots of educational things. They do a lot of free activities as well. There's a lot of things you can do without any cost," says Nelsonville Chamber President, Kevin Dotson.
There is also a Miss Parade of the Hills contest where one lucky girl will walk away with a $2,500 scholarship.
The Parade of the Hills is the 17th through the 20th.
