UPDATE: Victim's name released in fatal shooting in Wood County

Parkersburg, W.Va. (WTAP) - Wood County Sheriff's investigators have released the name of the victim in Monday's shooting near College Parkway.

Deputies say Eva Munoz is the victim of what is being investigated as an accidental shooting.

Wood County 911 received a call about a possible shooting early Monday morning at #80 Aqua Circle at Aqua Isles, located off College Parkway.

When Wood County Deputies arrived, they found the suspect had reportedly left the scene to take the victim to Camden Clark Medical Center in Parkersburg.

The victim had a gunshot wound to the chest and was pronounced dead at Camden Clark Medical Center.

The alleged shooter, Michael Levi Gainer, 19, of Parkersburg, was arrested.

He’s being charged with Wanton Endangerment.

His bond was sent at $300,000 cash.

Gainer remains in the North Central Regional Jail.

The Wood County Sheriff’s Detective Bureau is investigating the case as an accidental shooting.
