Parkersburg man sentenced to 2 years in prison on child pornography charges

PARKERSBURG, WV (WTAP) - A Parkersburg man received a two-year prison sentence Monday in Wood County Circuit Court after pleading guilty to a felony sex charge

52-year-old Steven McClain pleaded guilty in August to one felony count of distribution and exhibition of material depicting minors engaged in sexually explicit conduct.

According to court documents, he's required to register and remain on the West Virginia Sex-Offender Registry for the rest of his life.

He also will be placed under 20 years of supervised released after completing his prison sentence.

Mcclain was arrested in March, 2016 after police searched his apartment at Chateau Hills and found pictures of minors engaged in sexual activity.
