Parkersburg's Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1212 will hold a commemoration of the attack on Pearl Harbor Friday afternoon.

It begins at 2:00, at the VFW's headquarters on Garfield Avenue, and will be followed by a ceremonial wreath-laying ceremony at Point Park.

Earlier in the day, the Marine Corps League plans a ceremony in downtown Marietta.

It will be held beginning at 10 A.M., at the Putnam Street Bridge. A luncheon will follow at American Legion Post 64.

Both ceremonies will honor the Americans who lost their lives-and those who survived-the surprise attack of December 7, 1941.
