PARKERSBURG, W.VA. (WTAP) - Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness month is a sensitive topic, but one organization is going full force, informing the public about the services that are out there.
Sufficient Grace Ministries, works with families all over Ohio, and also provide its services to families and mothers in Parkersburg.
Volunteers say their mission is to comfort women and families that have lost a baby through miscarriage, still birth, or infant death.
One woman says she lost her son, Samuel, when he was just 39-weeks-old.
Her life experience has inspired her to help other families experiencing the same kind of grief.
Nicole Fortune says, “Mine was an emergent loss, last minute. The importance of families when you know ahead of time, you can make the most of time that you have. It's the gift of time. It's a book of research that we hand out. You have time to plan and make choices and decisions. Focus on making memories with your baby while you have them."
