Robert E. Fouss Memorial Fund continues legacy

PARKERSBURG W.Va (WTAP)- The Robert E. Fouss Memorial fund annually chooses a school or organization to benefit.

The memorial fund was established in honor of Robert Fouss, a shoe store owner in the Mid-Ohio Valley who would always make sure that children in need left his store with new shoes. His children set up this fund to continue their father’s legacy and help those in need while also joining the many charitable organizations in the Mid-Ohio Valley.

“The plan is to do something that would continue what he started. We want to continue to give back and let people know that…there are so many ways in the Mid-Ohio Valley to give back to folks, we’re just one of many,” says Rob Fouss, a co-creator of the memorial fund.

Franklin Elementary School received a $1,000 grant that was able to provide 54 students in need with new sneakers or winter boots.
