VIENNA, WV (WTAP)--- The annual "Spirit of Giving" event is a celebration of the season and fundraising for the charitable needs of the valley.
The PM Company of property management and tenants come together to donate to the fund that serves the needs of the community.
This year, ten charities have been selected to receive funding for specific grant requests through the Parkersburg area community grants foundation.
And Thursday night's celebration is especially sweet.
"We are super excited and very, very grateful to everybody who contributed and participated and supported the Spirit of Giving event," explains Karmyn Conley of the PM Company.
This year, more than $59,000 was raised and matched by the PM Company, for a grand total of $118,000
The funds will support charities and projects like the Jefferson Elementary School Playground, Latrobe Street Mission, Belpre Area Ministries, and more.
The event was held at the Grand Pointe Conference Center with catering and door prizes for the many hundreds of guests.
