A Parkersburg woman arrested in a drug raid at a Mineral Wells motel last February entered guilty pleas in Wood County Circuit Court on Wednesday.
Ashley Fulkerson, 24, pleaded guilty to one count of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver and one count of child neglect creating risk of injury. She is scheduled to be sentenced on Jan. 7.
The Parkersburg Narcotics Task Force arrested Fulkerson and Jesse Hesson, 24, of Parkersburg, after finding crystal methamphetamine, marijuana, a .32 caliber revolver and more than $3,500 in two rooms at the motel.
Fulkerson and Hesson are both in the North Central Regional Jail.
Two Parkersburg residents are facing drug charges after the Parkersburg Violent Crime and Narcotics Task Force reportedly found drugs at a motel in Mineral Wells on Sunday morning.
According to a press release from the task force, an officer with the West Virginia State Police and a Wood County Sheriff deputy responded to a drug complaint at a motel in Mineral Wells around 9 a.m. on Sunday.
The Parkersburg Narcotics Task Force was then called to the scene.
After search warrants were executed on two rooms in the motel, agents found one ounce of crystal methamphetamine, seven separate bags of marijuana, a .32 caliber revolver, more than $3,500 in U.S. currency, and other drug paraphernalia.
Jesse Carl Hesson, of Parkersburg, was arrested for possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine and possession with intent to distribute marijuana. He was charged with 2 counts of delivery of a controlled substance from an ongoing investigation conducted by the task force. He also faces 1 count of child abuse and neglect.
Ashley Nicole Fulkerson, of Parkersburg, was arrested for possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine and possession with intent to distribute marijuana. She also faces 1 count of child abuse and neglect.
The two are currently awaiting arraignment.
