WEDNESDAY UPDATE: List of roads closed due to high water in the Mid-Ohio Valley

On Wednesday, several roads in Wood, Pleasants, Washington and Athens counties remained closed because of high water.

The West Virginia Division of Highways says the following roads are closed due to high water, as of 4:00 P.M. Wednesday:

Wood County:
County Road 026/00 4800 block of Stillwell Road

Pleasants County:
County 003/13, Middle Island
County 034/00, Sugar Valley
County 026/01, Wolfe Road

The Washington County Sheriff's Office says the following roads are closed in the county, as of 3:45 P.M. Wednesday:
County Road 9 at milemarker 1.5
Caywood Road at milemarker 1.5
500 block of Browns Road
Millgate Road
State Route 7 between State Route 807 & New Matamoras
State Route 550 between State Route 339 and junction of State Route 7 in Marietta
Virginia Street at Fearing St. to the train bridge overpass
Archers Fork Road at State Route 7
Mud Lane at State Route 7
Newells Run Road at State Route 7
Leith Run Road at State Route 7
Parr Hill Road at State Route 7
Millgate Road at State Route 60 near Marietta Bible Center Church

The City of Marietta says the following roads are closed in the city limits, as of 12:20 P.M. Wednesday,
Alleys between Front and Second 100/200 blocks
Virginia Street at Fearing St. to the train bridge overpass
Gilman Avenue from Lancaster Street to Stone Street
South Eighth Street
South Hart Street
South Sixth Street
OPEN: Gilman Avenue from Walnut to Slaughterhouse Hill/Groves Avenue

The Ohio Department of Transportation Southeastern District 10 says the following roads are closed in the Mid-Ohio Valley, as of 3:45 P.M. Wednesday:

Athens County:
State Route 56 between the Vinton County line and Athens Corp.
State Route 144 between SR 124 & US 50

Gallia County:
State Route 141 between Lawrence Co. line and SR 233

Meigs County:
State Route 124 between SR 325 & SR 7
State Route 124 between US 33 and SR 248
State Route 124 between SR 248 & SR 681
