PARKERSBURG, W.Va. (WTAP) - A water main break Thursday in Parkersburg forced Worthington Elementary School to close until Friday.

The Parkersburg Utility Board says a break in a 10-inch water main was reported just before 6 A.M. Thursday.

It happened on 36th Street, between Roseland Avenue and Jefferson Street, across from Worthington Elementary School.

Wood County Schools closed Worthington Elementary School all day Thursday, but school officials say it will reopen on Friday.

Parkersburg Utility Board officials said they expected the water main break to be repaired by 12:30 P.M. Thursday.
