Funeral Home: Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg
David Lee Parsons, 76, of Parkersburg passed away March 6, 2018. We have lost a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend.

He was born on October 17, 1941, the son of the late Oshel and Lula Parsons.

He loved hunting with his oldest son, Darin and really enjoyed fishing with his youngest son, Eric. He treasured his grandchildren greatly, especially watching them play sports. He also had two beautiful Boxers he thoroughly enjoyed, Bay Lee and Bella, also known as "The Girls.” It saddens our hearts to think he will never enjoy time with us again. Regardless of his challenges, he always had a smile on his face and a hug to give you. He was loved and respected by everyone who met him. Dave had a heart full of friends, both long ago and today.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Carolyn Parsons. His sons, Darin Parsons (Amanda) and Eric Parsons (Missy). His wonderful grandchildren, Mariah, Colton, and Zachary. His brothers, Bob (Barbara Jean), Rick (Dorothy), sister Barbara Ellen, and sister-in-law Margie Abbott.

He was preceded in death by his brothers Keith (Jackie), Kermit (Geraldine), Rich (Pat), Mike, and his sister Dottie (Jerry).

Funeral services will be Saturday at 3:00 pm at the Leavitt Funeral Home in Parkersburg with Pastor Larry Dale officiating.

Burial will be in the Mt. Olivet Cemetery.

Visitation will be Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm.

The family would like to thank Dr. Haile for his exceptional help in getting them through this difficult time, as well as the nurses who helped explain what the family needed to hear. The family would also like to thank Dr. Mason and Dr. Hamirani and friends Dr. Gondalia and Dr. Moses. To Camden Clark Hospital, you have a great staff that understands what is needed physically and emotionally. The family will never forget your kindness.

Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.LeavittFuneralHome.com.
