Three area teams were looking to survive and advance in playoff games on a cold Friday night in November

The post season kicked off it's 4 week run in West Virginia
Parkersburg High comes up short in an opening round game in the Class AAA Playoffs

The Monarchs of John Marshall take advantage of 4 Big Red turnovers and prevail 42-35.
In the Class A playoffs, The Williamstown's post season journey came to an end in the mountains of Eastern West Virginia. The Yellowjackets had a great effort, but fall to top seeded East Hardy 14-10

The Fort Frye Cadets also faced a number 1 seed in the Ohio High School Football Playoffs.
Undefeated Nelsonville-York downs the Cadets 26-20 in overtime in the Div. VI Region 23 semifinals. With the loss Fort Frye ends up a great run with a 10-2 record.
