WVU at North Carolina State football game will not be played this weekend

RALEIGH, N.C. (NC State) West Virginia University will not play its scheduled football game at North Carolina State University this weekend due to possible unsafe conditions during Hurricane Florence.

NC State and WVU officials say the game is not being canceled and they are working to reschedule the game for a later date, but no decision has yet been made.

The decision was made for the safety of players, students and fans, and to allow North Carolina's emergency agencies more time to prepare for possible effects from Hurricane Florence.

NC State officials say if the WVU game be rescheduled or a replacement home game is scheduled, tickets for the WVU game will be valid for the rescheduled or replacement game.

If this game or a replacement home game is not viable, a refund will be offered to season ticketholders. Details will be communicated at a later date.
