Marietta College Oil & Gas Technical Exhibition - Nov. 10, 10 A.M. to 4 P.M.

Marietta College will be hosting it's first Oil and Gas Technical Exhibition from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Nov. 10 at the Dyson-Baudo Recreation Center, located at 215 Fifth St., Marietta. The event is a hands-on learning experience for students, engineers and members of the community. Nearly 50 companies are expected to have representatives and equipment at the event, and there 13 speaker presentations will take take throughout the day. The keynote speaker is Callum Streeter, chief operating officer of EdgeMarc Energy and president of Appalachian Basin AADE. Some of the equipment being brought includes: a Halliburton frac truck; Virtual Reality Snubbing Unit, directional drilling tools, frac plugs and pumping unit models. There will be presentation at 10 a.m. to provide a foundation for those who are not familiar with the industry or types of tools that are commonly used and will be exhibited. High-school students and residents interested in STEM or oil and gas are encouraged to attend. The event is free and lunch will be provided.
